I have a nightingale armor reskin or something that gets rid of the cape in favor of a more scarf-like attachment, until I saw this thread I didn't know the Khajiit tail and nightingale armor didn't get along.

Well you could join the thieves guild or the Dark Brotherhood for good armor, plus if you get really deep into the Thieves Guild questline you'll get Nightingale armor which is also pretty good. I'm not sure I'd go into theivery, but the prospect of Nightingale armor seems neat.
